INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

OBJECTIVES:
MYOPAIN world congresses are dedicated to informational exchange relating to recognition, pathogenesis, and management of soft tissue disorders such as myofascial pain syndrome and fibromyalgia syndrome. Through its featured speakers, MYOPAIN 2010 will provide a comprehensive learning experience to include both clinical and basic aspects of these disorders.

ELIGIBILITY:
Any scientific investigation relevant to the conference objectives will be considered. Abstracts must be in English. Abstracts submitted to other meetings or abstracts relating to manuscripts in press are acceptable if they are not published before the date of abstract submission. The submission fee for each abstract is $40 [USA funds] payable by credit card. If the processing fee does not accompany the submission, the abstract will be disqualified. All presenters must be registered for the MYOPAIN 2010 conference. No travel funds will be provided.

SELECTION AND PRESENTATION:
Abstracts will be reviewed by committee members who are blinded to author identity. All accepted abstracts will be presented as posters and published online on the IMS website [www.myopain.org]. A few abstracts of unusual merit will also be selected for afternoon podium presentation.

ABSTRACT DEADLINE:
The deadline for receipt of abstracts is May 3, 2010. Abstracts which require correction after the deadline will be withdrawn. All abstracts must be submitted electronically through the IMS website at www.myopain.org.

READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE PREPARING YOUR ABSTRACT:

The Corresponding author will be notified regarding acceptance about eight weeks after receipt deadline.

Category: Check to indicate the topical category: Fibromyalgia, Myofascial Pain, or Other Soft Tissue Disorders.

Authors: List name, institutional affiliation, city, state, and country. Omit degrees, titles, and appointments.

Title: Title should be brief, clearly indicating the nature of the presentation.

Provide the following information:

OBJECTIVES: Statement of purpose or problem addressed
METHODS: Methods, materials, analytical procedures, and statistical approaches used
RESULTS: Summary of the results in sufficient detail to support conclusions
CONCLUSIONS: Conclusions reached

Abbreviations: Identify all abbreviations in square brackets "[ ]" when first used after their full definitions. Identify all references in "( )". Use Arabic numerals, except to begin a sentence. Use generic names for drugs.

Abstract Length: Word limit is 1800 characters, including spaces.

Note: Before you submit your abstract, please look it over carefully to make certain that it is exactly as you wish it to appear if accepted for publication. Do not submit the same abstract twice. You will be charged for each submission. If you submit and then find there is a major error in your submission, contact the IMS staff by clicking the "Contact us" link and give us your name, submission title, and the needed changes.
